Story: loss, pain, grief
At the beginning of December, I had to have one of my two cats put down. He was sick and I took him to the vet. He was in heart failure at the age of 4 and when I went in to see him he was on oxygen and an IV. I miss him.
Story: This was a picture of Bam-Bam enjoying the garden. He died of CRF on Jan 13th 2007 at 14 years old. He was my baby... I know that sounds silly but even my husband cries now and then because we miss him so much. He wqs a Burmese/Bengal Cross. So lovely and intelligent. He was on a magazine called The Bengal Times too. This photo won me a competition too. We miss you Bam. Your Brother Diz is missing you too. Forever in our hearts and thoughs. Play at Rainbow Bridge until we meet again.
Our wonderful dog Blondie had to be put to sleep on January 31st. 11 years of being the faithful family companion through thick and thin. And now she is gone.
Story: This is my dog, Cowboy. I met him while I was working at an animal shelter, shortly after I got out of a very abusive relationship. He had been badly abused and left to die on the side of a highway. When I heard his story and saw the need in his big brown eyes, I realized that we could help each other, and decided to adopt him. I helped take care of Cowboy's injury and helped him get over his fear of people, and he returned the favor by showing me the love I needed to recover from my ordeal.
Story: This is my cat Carmen with her favorite stuffed animal a couple days before she died. We rescued her from an animal hospital where she was a blood donor. She was often mean and hard to take care of but we loved her a lot. She died in my arms. I really miss her.
