My daughter didn't knwo what to do with her birthday cake until that first taste hit her tongue.
Story: On the walk to school, my friends and I blow the dandelions puffs into others faces. We laugh at the annoyed face of the victim, and run to avoid an attack on ourselves. Its fun, annoying and memorable.
Imagine kids walking to school. See the lawns infested with dandelions. The dandelions are seeding, white puffs of fluff. Breath. Put your self into the scene. Hear the laughter of the kids.
Story: Water always gave me that break from my stress and daily living. Sure, you drink and bathe in water, but for some reason, it makes me feel pure, fresh, and stress-free. I also use water to add to my poems. I am an amateur poet at age 12.
During life, we face hardships. Our first reaction is with those tears streaming down your cheeks. Oh you yearn for that paradise. That beach. That blue water. Water. Water. The antidote to quench your hate. Water gives peace and tranquility to your life.
Story: Canned frosting, much like ice cream & cookie dough, is a fantastic bandaid. It's also a great for celebrations, but it's best when shared with a sister, or a close friend. There have been many occassions that the combination of frosting and a friend has saved the day. Whether it was a breakup, a lost job, or the purchase of the best handbag (on sale, natch!) a can of creamy decadent frosting and a good gossip session help make the situation better.
Frosting reminds me of "girl" nights with my sister when we would eat frosting out of the can and gossip about boys, fashion and share our dreams.
Story: I was very strict about bedtimes for my 5 children born within 6 years of each other. Their father was in the Navy so he was gone on cruises a lot. They were very surprised when I woke them up to play in the snow on a school night.
It snowed in Pensacola,Florida in the 1980's and eventhough I had a strict early bedtime for my 5 children all preteens and younger,I woke them up so they could play in it.They made little snowmen on the car. They still remember that decades later
