Story: Someone had cranked the heater in the training room before we got there so the trainer opened a bunch of windows. Well, it was late March and the height of allergy season. There was one woman who was sniffling like crazy and obviously had no Kleenex. I have allergies too, but I always carry Kleenex. So I offered her some. And she gave me a really dirty look. But the three people right next to her smiled gratefully and we all went out to lunch and became friends. The Sniffler was not invited.
I was in a training session and one poor woman was sniffling incessantly. It was gross. People were getting irritated, sighing, giving eachother looks. Obviously she had no tissues. Till I pulled some out of my purse for her. There was grateful smiling...
Story: How I love the ocean. Every summer since I was a child I have spent at least one day at the beach. New Jersey has some fun beaches. Wildwood was a staple in my younger years. I can remember playing in the sand as "Paperback Writer" played in the distance. Later I would take my own children down to the same beach. I can remember hiking through the sand over the very wide beach with playpens & umbrellas. Now I still enjoy going down and just enjoying the peace and quiet and memories.
I look forward to summer every year. One of my favorite activities is going to the beach. The feel of the sand and the sounds of the ocean have a calming effect. I have loved the feeling since I was a child.
Story: I was very strict about bedtimes for my 5 children born within 6 years of each other. Their father was in the Navy so he was gone on cruises a lot. They were very surprised when I woke them up to play in the snow on a school night.
It snowed in Pensacola,Florida in the 1980's and eventhough I had a strict early bedtime for my 5 children all preteens and younger,I woke them up so they could play in it.They made little snowmen on the car. They still remember that decades later
i thought i couldnt have kids and the day my daughter could walk i took her to the beach and let her walk in the sand and play her little heart out she had sand all in her hair
Story: Me and my fiance in love.
In 6th grade, I met a boy and we liked each other. But 6th grade isnt anything serious. I moved to another school that next year and we didnt see eachother for another 5 yrs. We met up & fell in love. We're getting married!!
