Story: I had a bit of an ego on that fateful day, oh I was full of myself. I gingerly stepped into the cool water and felt like showing off my swimming abilities. I got in waist deep then swam out further, I promptly laid on my back and did, what I thought was a perfect back stroke lap, there I was swimming, legs and arms beautifully coordinated, I was sure I looked amazing as I cut through that silky sea and then WHAP! I hit some poor man in the face! I, of course, apologized profusely. Poor guy.
A funny memory I have about water is when one time I was swimming in the LI Sound and was trying to look elegant, yet athletic as I did the back stroke. I swam with self declared grace until I swam into some poor man slamming my hand into his face.
Story: i had my son when i was very young.but i learned a lot fast with Him.He was so smart i really had to be on the ball.he was also very active and needed lot's of out door time, which i enjoyed myself.i did'nt have my second child untill James was 6yrs.old so we had a lot of years together one on one.the panic with the tolet has'nt left any scar's thank God hahaha we've alway's enjoyed a good laugh about it (later of course)my son is 40yrs.old now and will retire from the USMC. in may.i'm very proud
my 4yr.old would climb on the tolet, lean on sink, turn the water on and brush his teeth like a "big boy".one day he was yelling for Mom COME QUICK,he had slipped- his foot stuck in the tolet.I found the shortening.it had to work!James will retire USMC5/09
Story: Canned frosting, much like ice cream & cookie dough, is a fantastic bandaid. It's also a great for celebrations, but it's best when shared with a sister, or a close friend. There have been many occassions that the combination of frosting and a friend has saved the day. Whether it was a breakup, a lost job, or the purchase of the best handbag (on sale, natch!) a can of creamy decadent frosting and a good gossip session help make the situation better.
Frosting reminds me of "girl" nights with my sister when we would eat frosting out of the can and gossip about boys, fashion and share our dreams.
Story: I was Kitty sitting for some good friends in their country home during a snow storm and found the natural beauty of snow when I woke up the next morning. The trees were totally covered with this fluffy white snow, and along the railings the snow was drapped, like garland, and in this round, tubular shape, that was totally amazing.
